About 12 hours ago I uploaded a short clip from TV featuring the Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds dropping a streaker on his back using his shoulder.

As a test, I wanted to see what kind of traffic this got, knowing that it would be big news in Australia and other parts of the cricketing world.

Pretty incredible for such a young video.

Obviously I haven't done anything amazing here, just used a good title and a good set of tags. I did this just out of curiousity, and it shows that hitting the right cord, at the right time, produces a result.

Can I monetize this, not really, but that isn't why I did it. I just thought the stats would be interesting and I wanted to share.

Something similar happened to me last year. Adsense ads stopped displaying on one of my sites and they never even bothered to email me to tell me. When I contacted them they said I had breached their TOS but weren't specific. They also said that once adsense was disabled on a site it was permanent!

You can try to contact them via this email ady adsense-support@google.com

I did find a work around. I created a new domain with the same name except for the .com as I used .info instead and made some changes to the pages where I was displaying the ads and redirected every page on the .com site to the equivalent page on the .info site.

My day has just gone from shitty to complete crap! (sorry for the frankness)

After having problems with clickbank this morning...I left the computer in disgust to vent my frustration and blow a few hundy on shopping on useless items.....

So upon my return I'm greeted with an email from Google

I'm surprised too Nez as you seemed to indicate it was likely to be a waste of time!

Are you bringing your wife along - the note indicating all accommodation was paid for for the attendee + partner certainly made it more interesting. Not sure my wife wants to come now as she already thinks of it as a geekfest!!

It's free to sign up and after looking around this site for the last hour or so, it's actually loaded with heaps and heaps of free information which is really quite cool.

For example there are ebooks you can download for free on SEO, LInking, hiding links, formating articles and lots more.

The concept of the site is to give you free websites, templates, banners - you name it, they supply it and then you simply promote one of the products they have and reap the rewards. There are some really hefty commissions too.

Anyways I just thought I would share my find...it could be worthwhile...or it could be a flop...I'll keep looking into it further and let you know if I have any luck with it (and if you follow it up, let us know how you go).

I'm on the hunt for backlinks....lots and lots of them, so during my hunt I've come across this product from Comment Hut.

Now I confess I came across this early last year BUT as with most tools and tips we come across, it got shelved.

Well this morning I blew the dust from the top and had a go with it...it's really a handy little tool, considering you get it for nothing.

Simply download the free generator, type in the keyword phrase/topic you're interested in and BAM it will bring up a list of blogs (only in wordpress) for the free version where you can pop on over and leave a comment to grab a backlink...pretty cool.

Hi Everyone

Hope this post finds you all well

I'm finally getting around to trying out facebook. I have my own page but I'm thinking about creating one for the character I use in my niche.

Now I understand that facebook only allows real people to set up an account but I'm wondering if anyone else has created an account for their character? Also how would facebook ever find out that the character wasn't a real person. Technically it is a real person cos it's just me using a pseudonym.

I know I can create a facebook page for my product but I am concerned if I contact any of the fans of the product page that they will see that it is from the real me?

Sadly none of my friends are interested in Internet Marketing - can you beleive that?
I even tried to persuade two of them to try the 30DC with me last year but they just weren't brave enough! I will twitter you though - there's at least 4 people following me!

Sure this stuff works BUT it does take Work too - quite a bit in fact....for me it's an ongoing hobby - I love it!

I've still to crack the big time though and yet to make any huge sums of money BUT I'm having so much fun along the way.

There are so many ways to make a dollar on the internet and ways that won't cost you anything more than time...time is the key...persistence.

Hi guys, just stumbled across your forum via a twitter mention so thought Id join up.

My name is Chris and I'm from Liverpool in the UK.

I dabbled with the 30DC last year but my 'team' dropped like flies within the first couple of weeks leaving me a bit disillusioned. I decided to knock my world-domination plans on the head until 2008.

I have recently signed up to Immediate Edge and re-read all of their blog posts from 2007.

I recognise some names here from 30DC so am hoping that this forum will help me along the way to untold riches!

My current addon I have installed in Flock. Some are from the Firefox addons website, some direct from the flock website. I'll name the addons exactly so you can just search them from their respective sites.

Downloadhelper - grab those You Tube videos (or any video)
Facebook Toolbar - no need to explain that one
Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer - great for multiple machines
Google Global - excellent for targeted searching
Screenshot - takes a photo of an ENTIRE webpage. Great for adding stuff to your swipe file
Twitbin - I still prefer this over Flock's offering
Twitterbar - posting form your address bar, easiest way to post links

and for web designers:
Colorzilla - eyedropper tool for grabbing color details
CSSviewer - a CSS property viewer
Firebug - brilliant

What I like is the fact that Flock has replaced so many of the addons I was using in Firefox.

So, now that I'm a new Flock fan, how about you point us all in the direction of the best addons and any tid bits you've found.

I love the side bar with all the options, the media bar AND I haven't even started with addons or extensions....ooooo what fun!

The great thing about Flock is almost all addons for Firefox work with it. I've installed all of the same addons I had (including Download Helper), and they all work fine.

Just go to the Firefox addons page while browsing with Flock and install them like you normally would.

Being the Firefox user that you are, try this out Bambi. I use it in Firefox all the time. All you do is let the video load fully, then you can download it.

Bambi I have the latest version of RealPlayer on my system and when I hover my pointer over an embedded video on the net it offers me the option of downloading the video to my local system. The link below goes to the Realplayer help page that shows how it works.

they are very helpful in there.

It turns out however that my laptop does not support the option to extend my desktop, and it also doesn't have the option to use another video card so theres nothing to be done.

I'll just have to earn some more money and buy a new laptop

Hi Casey,

The analog cable should still work if you only have one video output from your laptop ports, so thats not the issue.

Have you tried to download the latest video drivers for the laptops video card model and configuring the advanced settings using that.

Or it could be something as simple as a faulty video cable connection, can you try another video cable?

If someone more tech minded doesnt help you first, try registering and posting on

I am using the 15-pin D-sub cable as my laptop does not have an outlet for the DVI-D cable.

Only the 'external' monitor is displaying anything.

I do not have a list or a picture of 2 monitors in my Display settings, only the 'external' monitor is listed.

I have gone through the Help and Support files on my laptop and it's no help as it is telling me to select the 2nd monitor and select 'extend my desktop', however I do not have this option.

Could all this stem from using the D-sub cable as opposed to the digital cable?

Hi Casey,

Assuming your laptops graphics card isnt too old, this should help.

Ok you only need one graphics card for both monitors. You should plug your new monitor in using DVI (as this is digital, the other cable D-Sub is analog).

Are both monitors displaying your desktop? Or only one?

If its only one then you need to go into Display Properties, Settings, then youll see a picture of 2 monitors with one grayed out.

Click on the picture of the monitor that is grayed out and then check the box that says 'Extend my desktop onto this monitor'

Hey all!

I've just got a new 19inch monitor and have hooked it up to my laptop. It works like a champ and there is no way I can ever go back to a smaller screen now

At the moment, the screen on my laptop is black and I can only see things on the new monitor, but I want to be able to use both screens.

I have searched online and have found the same instructions everywhere, like this example:

However when I open: Display: Settings,
I do not have a list of multiple monitors. Only the new monitor.

Is there another option?

I am running XP service pack 2.
